Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Washington, District of Columbia. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.

The work includes provision 13,800kV to 480Vsecondary unit substation, underground duct banks, concrete pads, switchboards, Automatic Transfer Switch and incidental related work. The project replaces the transformer and switchgear at Buildings A50 and A51 and provides an emergency backup generator which will power fume hood exhaust systems in the event of an electrical outage. Also included as part of the project is an upgrade of the fire suppression and alarm system for both buildings. Additional components of the construction include selective demolition, equipment pads for the transformer and generator, a new duct bank, electrical work to integrate the new transformer and generator, architectural finishes both inside and outside the buildings and fire suppression system upgrades. SCOPE OF WORK: Includes low voltage construction, installation, maintenance and removal of teledata facilities (voice, data and video) including outside plant, telephone and data inside wire, interconnect, terminal equipment, central offices, PABX, fiber optic cable and equipment, railroad communications, micro waves, VSAT, bypass, CATV, WAN (Wide area networks), LAN (Local area networks) and ISDN (Integrated systems digital network). WORK EXCLUDED: The installation of computer systems in industrial applications such as assembly lines, robotics and computer controller manufacturing systems. The installation of conduit and/or raceways shall be installed by Inside Wiremen. On sites where there is no Inside Wireman employed, the Teledata Technician may install raceway or conduit not greater than 10 feet. Fire alarm work is excluded on all new construction sites or wherever the fire alarm system is installed in conduit. All HVAC control work.
