The deadline to ask questions is 8/26/2024 12:00 PM CDT Questions and inquiries about this bid should be submitted in writing via the Question and Answer feature available through the online. Proposals are solicited for the purchase of one (1) electrical power transformer, three-phase, 138,000 X 69,000 volts delta - 24,940Y/14,400 volts, ONAN/ONAF/ONAF ratings 15/20/25/28 MVA, 55oC/65oC average winding rise, with high voltage DETC and low voltage LTC, having all copper windings. Supplier will deliver transformer to Farmersville Substation, fully assembled, oil filled and tested, not later than August 18, 2025 (see Appendix A under Exhibit C). Any deviation from this delivery date should be listed under exceptions. Preference will be given to bidders who can deliver earlier than August 18, 2025. Respondent is to deliver the transformer to Farmersville Substation and furnish the crane and equipment to set the transformer on foundations, fully tested and oil filled, located at Farmersville Substation, 220 South Washington Street, Farmersville, Texas. The delivery times stated by the Supplier will be coordinated with the Owner to assure foundation construction is complete. The City will only accept hardcopy (original) proposals. Proposals received after the specified date and time of the opening will not be accepted. Hardcopy (Original): Hand-delivered proposal packages shall be submitted to McCord Engineering, Inc. (MEI) in a sealed envelope marked with the RFP number, project title, and the name/address of the Offeror. Proposals delivered to MEI via US Mail or other delivery system shall be in a sealed envelope within the mailing/shipping envelope with "PROPOSAL ENCLOSED" noted on the face of the mailing/shipping envelope. Proposal packages shall include one (1) unbound original proposal, one (1) electronic copy (PDF) of the proposal on a USB drive, a 5% bid security (see Section10 Bid Security) and other documents as required. All bids received after the closing time designated will be returned unopened.
