Village of Addison is looking to find a contractor for the removal and replacement of outside staircase on the east entrance to the Addison Village Hall, at 1 Friendship Plaza, Addison, IL 60101. The work can commence as early as September 5, 2024, with substantial completion no later than October 11, 2024. The Village of Addison reserves the right to waive all technicalities, and to accept and or reject part(s) of any or all bids which it deems advantageous. Minorities and women-owned businesses (W.B.E.) are encouraged to participate. This is an Illinois Prevailing Wage Project. Mandatory site visit required. See bid specifications for details. The Village of Addison is requesting sealed bids for providing all necessary labor, material and equipment to completely remove and replace the outside staircase on the east entrance to the village hall. The contractor shall be responsible for accurately measuring the areas for the required amount surface to be restored. Removal and off-site disposal of construction waste will be the responsibility of the Contractor and shall be included in the bid price. Dumpsters and waste receptacles MUST be contracted through REPUBLIC SERVICES @ (708)345-7050, no exceptions. Debris and trash shall be removed at the end of each day's work. The Village of Addison reserves the right to make changes to the Services to be provided which are within the project. No assignment, alteration, change or modification of the terms of this Agreement shall be valid unless made in writing and agreed to by both the Village of Addison and the Contractor. The Contractor shall not commence any additional work or change the scope of the Services until authorized in writing by the Village of Addison. Contractor shall make no claim for additional compensation in the absence of a prior written approval and amendment of this Agreement signed by both the Village of Addison and the Contractor. This Agreement may only be amended, supplemented or modified by a written document signed in the same manner as this Agreement. The attached label must be affixed to the front of the envelope the completed bid is submitted in. This attached label may be printed on an 8.5 X 11 label stock or printed on paper and securely fastened to the front of envelope you are submitting the bid in. Bids without the attached label on the envelope may be delayed and not arrive in time for the bid opening. Bid Documents to supply the Village of Addison If there are any errors or inconsistencies found in the Bid Documents, bidders must notify the Village of Addison of those errors or inconsistencies before the due date listed above. Site Walkthrough notes: All interested bidders are required to have these meetings in order to familiarize themselves with the systems and conditions that may affect the time or cost of performance. SCOPE OF WORK The Village of Addison is requesting sealed bids for providing all necessary labor, material and equipment to completely remove and replace the outside staircase on the east entrance to the village hall. The contractor shall be responsible for accurately measuring the areas for the required amount surface to be restored. Contractor shall: Measure all areas. Mobilize. Construct barricade and protect necessary areas where work is to be completed. Remove existing concrete stairs, and railings. Remove and save for replacement any paver bricks that are necessary in order to frame for the new stairs. Frame for new stairs. Pour concrete using a 6 % bag mix or 4,000 PSI concrete with a 6-8% air entrainment and a lowslump 3-4 inch range. Place and finish concrete. Protect the concrete during the curing process. Remove framing after the concrete is cured enough to safely do so. Replace any paver bricks that were removed. Replace railings with new powder coated aluminum railings (white) epoxied in place.
