Renovation of an educational facility in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Work consists of reroofing - provide ridged insulation and thermoplastic membrane as required to install a retrofit thermoplastic roof system. The Work includes, but is not limited to miscellaneous carpentry, thermoplastic membrane roofing, thermoplastic roofing preparations, sheet metal flashing and trim, manufactured roof specialties, joint sealants and clean-up and removal of construction debris. Bid Guaranty in the form of a Bid Bond (Proposal bonds with Contractor acting as surety are not acceptable), Certified Check, or cash shall accompany each bid. The amount of the bid Guaranty shall be not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid set forth in the Proposal Form. All bid Guaranties shall be made payable to the Union County Fiscal Court. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a performance and payment bond and a material and payment bond in an amount equal to at least One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract price. The premium for the bonds shall be included in the proposal amount(s). No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days therefrom. The scoring of bids/proposals is subject to Reciprocal preference for Kentucky resident bidders and Preferences for a Qualified Bidder. Please refer to specification sections 00220 and 00450. The Owner reserves the right to determine the ability of any bidder to perform the work, and upon the request of the Owner, any bidder shall furnish such information as may be required to make this determination. The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner and to reject any bid where evidence of information submitted by the bidder does not satisfy the Owner that the Bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the Contract Documents. Time is of the essence to the Contract performance. Notice to Proceed will be issued after the Pre-Construction meeting as soon as all required paperwork such as Contracts, Bonds, Insurance, etc. are in order. Contractor shall mobilize within ten (10) days of Notice to Proceed. Work start date of November 01, 2024 and substantial completions date of July 21, 2025. All anticipated federal, state, or local permits required for the project have been applied for and are expected to be approved prior to issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Prequalification may be required of Bidders prior to the award of contract. At the Owner's request, detailed written evidence such as financial data, bonding capacity, previous experience, present commitments, and other such data may be necessary to assist Owner in determining Contractor's qualifications shall be provided per the Instructions to Bidders contained in the contract documents. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner. Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and to re-advertise. The Owner will make payments to the successful Contractor upon receipt of requests for payments, having been certified by the Architect, as fully covered and shown in the plans and specifications. Retainage as prescribed in the specifications and General Conditions of the Contract will be withheld. The above description is an advertisement for the submission of bids which are to be considered as offers for performance of work by the submitting party. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
