Renovation of a water / sewer project in Binghamton, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The City of Binghamton Department of Water is requesting bid proposals for the replacement of Raw Water Pump #3, 75 HP 890 RPM Vertical Turbine Pump capable of delivering 6600 GPM at 27 TDH manufactured by Sterling/Peerless. This will be the replacement of the shaft column and bowl assembly and will also include refurbishment of the discharge head to attach to new column/ bowl assembly. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder complying with the conditions of the Invitation for Bids provided such bid is reasonable and it is to the best interest of the City of Binghamton. The Board of Contract and Supply, however, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in its interest. The bidder to whom the award is made will be notified at the earliest possible date Please submit any questions in writing to Bernice Griffiths, Purchasing Agent at bggriffiths@cityofbinghamton.gov.
