The overall goal of this project is to determine the types, quantities, locations and health of the City's existing tree population. This data may be used to develop a maintenance plan at a later date to address health issues and threats, and to enable protection and enhancement of the City's urban forest resources. The City needs to inventory its trees to determine the status of existing trees, including their effect on sidewalks, and develop a future plan to add trees, address diseased and dying trees and trees that are creating hazards, and replace those trees with a variety of climate-ready, disease-resistant trees. A contract will be awarded to proposer who best meets the needs of the City; provided, however, that the City Council reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to re-advertise for proposals or to provide for the work to be done by the City of Stockton.
