Proposal to design and construct the sanitary sewer force main associated with the Public Safety Training Academy CIP Project 17-270. Installation of this section of the sanitary sewer force main is a shared goal of Department of Public Utilities CIP Project 76-270 South Central Water and Sewer Transmission. The City of Chesapeake has received and accepted for publication and conceptual phase consideration an unsolicited proposal under the provisions of the Public-Private Education Facilities And Infrastructure Act of 2002 (PPEA) and the City of Chesapeake's Guidelines for the Implementation of the Public-Private Education Facilities And Infrastructure Act of 2002 (Guidelines). The PPEA unsolicited proposal is for the design and construction of the sanitary sewer force main associated with the Public Safety Training Academy CIP Project 17-270. Installation of this section of the sanitary sewer force main is a shared goal of Department of Public Utilities CIP Project 76-270 South Central Water and Sewer Transmission. The City of Chesapeake intends to evaluate the unsolicited proposal and may negotiate an interim or comprehensive agreement with the proposer based on the proposal. Copies of the unsolicited proposal shall be available upon request, subject to the provisions of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, Code of Virginia, PPEA and the City of Chesapeake's Policy and Guidelines The City of Chesapeake will receive for simultaneous consideration any competing proposals that comply with the PPEA and the PPEA guidelines adopted by the City of Chesapeake. The unsolicited proposal and the adopted PPEA guidelines are available online. Any private entity submitting a competing proposal shall provide the City of Chesapeake Division of Purchasing one (1) original proposal, twenty (20) copies, one (1) electronic copy on flash drive, and a check in the amount of $5,000.00, payable to the City of Chesapeake.
