The North Utility District of Rhea County, Tennessee (NUDRC) is a public water utility district serving 1,450 customers in the areas of Rhea County north of Spring City, Tennessee. NUDRC is seeking to engage a qualified and experienced person or firm to act as an independent contractor. The Contract will extend for an initial period of two (2) years. The Contractor is required to furnish the labor, equipment, and personnel necessary to perform the duties assigned by the utility district which include but are not limited to leak repairs, new meter installation, emergency calls, and any other associated responsibilities. The terms of any resulting contract are negotiable but are likely to include reimbursement from a negotiated fee schedule for labor and equipment necessary to repair leaks, install new water meters, and perform incidental work not covered by the base rate. The Commissioners of the North Utility District of Rhea County, TN will review all proposals, interview each qualified candidate, negotiate the terms of any agreement, and execute said agreement, their decisions being final.
