Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Fort Nelson, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
This is the first phase (Phase One) of a two-phase competition. The first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all respondents. The second phase, (Phase Two), will invite the qualified respondents to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Upon award of a contract in Phase Two, the pre-qualification list resulting from the first phase will expire and will not be used in any other solicitation. Following Phase Two solicitation closing, bid results will be recorded and may be obtained by e-mailing a request to the address indicated in the Invitation to Tender. This project work includes excavation and reinstallation of riprap end protection, willow staking and hydraulic seeding of disturbed areas at the outlet of the culvert crossing site located at Km 647.4 of the Alaska Highway between Fort Nelson and Watson Lake, BC. Work under this contract consists of mobilization and demobilization at Km 647.4, along with traffic management and access development. It includes environmental monitoring, sorting of riprap at the outlet for reuse and disposing of surplus, and the transport and placement of Class 100kg riprap and boulders (nominal 1.2m to 1.5m diameter). Additionally, it involves the supply and placement of natural substrate, topsoil, willow staking, and hydraulic seeding.
