Lehi City invites firms to submit proposal for engineering and design services in the construction of the North Point substation. This substation will be located on the northeast side of Lehi.
All questions should be received two business days prior to the due date. Questions regarding this RFP should be submitted through Electronically. Lehi City Power currently has plans for the Construction located in the northeast area of Lehi City Power's service territory. Lehi Power plans to interconnect to the 138 kV PacifiCorp transmission line. This work shall include the following: necessary conceptual design review, detailed design, planning for the installation of the recommended 138-12 kV transformer(s) with new foundation, structures, primary breaker with disconnects, secondary structure, breakers, disconnects, grounding, relaying, control building and control conduits, area lighting, general site work, and other additions to provide a complete and functional facility. The selected Engineer will be required to furnish all conceptual plan review, design, site investigations, and interface to the Lehi Power staff. The proposal response should include estimated cost for the corresponding estimated hours. Proposals should also include a complete listing of deliverables for each activity in the scope of work and any alternatives to the scope or schedule to be considered by the Owner. It is the Owner's intent to have the subgrade design and associated materials/construction specifications available for release to bid on July, 1 2025. Depending on final site location and availability, Lehi anticipates that subgrade construction will begin as soon as August 4, 2025 and as late as October 6, 2025. Upon completion of subgrade work, erection of the above grade additions and wiring to control buildings shall begin. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any formality in the proposals received, to accept or reject any or all of the items in the proposal, and award the contract subject to this RFP, in whole or in part, if it is deemed in the City's best interest. The City reserves the right to negotiate any and all elements of the proposals if any such action is deemed in the best interest of the city. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
