Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Moreno Valley, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

The City of Moreno Valley, ("City") invites and will receive sealed Bids for the furnishing of all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation, permits, utilities, and all other items necessary for ADRIENNE MITCHELL PARK RESTROOM ADDITION (CITY PROJECT NO. 807 0060), located at 22631 Bay Avenue, Moreno Valley, CA 92553. SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall furnish, to the satisfaction of the Engineer, all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals, unless otherwise specified, to construct and complete the Project in compliance with the Contract Documents. This Project includes the construction of a new public restroom, approximately 200 square feet in size, at Adrienne Mitchell Park in the City of Moreno Valley. Construction of the new restroom will also include but is not limited to: installation of new utility lines for water, sewer and electrical. Scope of Work will also include landscaping, drainage improvements and construction of new walking paths. This project includes the construction of a new public restroom, approximately 200 square feet in size, at Adrienne Mitchell Park in the City of Moreno Valley. The work includes but is not limited to: demolition, clearing and grubbing, excavation, subgrade preparation, compaction, installation of a manufactured restroom building, conduit, site utilities including domestic water, sewer, electrical and other related utilities and connections; irrigation and landscaping, site hardscape; drainage improvements; erosion control; recycling of materials; preparation of redline as-built drawings; O&M manuals and other related work described in the Special Provisions including all parts of the Technical Provisions and as shown and required in the Contract Documents to achieve Final Completion. Background Moreno Valley was incorporated in 1984 as a General Law City, merging the communities of Moreno, Sunnymead and Edgemont. The City operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The City Council is comprised of an elected Mayor and four Council Members elected by district. The City has a committed customer-service oriented workforce comprised of more than 450 employees who provide a wide-range of municipal services including Public Works, Economic Development, Community Development, Parks and Community Services, Financial and Management Services and Library services. The City contracts with Riverside County for Police and Fire services. Question Submission Deadline: August 20, 2024, 10:00am. All questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted through online. Bid Value: $425,303. Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the City, the amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price, made payable to the City of Moreno Valley to guarantee the Bidder will enter into a Contract with the City. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Each bond shall be in the forms set forth herein, shall be secured from a surety company that meets all State of California bonding requirements, as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and that is a California admitted surety insurer. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS Bids shall remain open and valid for 90 days after the Bid Submission Deadline. Bids may be withdrawn electronically on the Vendor Portal prior to the Bid Submission Deadline. No bid may be withdrawn or changed after the Bid Submission Deadline, except as otherwise provided by law. The lowest Bidder may only request relief of its Bid in accordance with Public Contract Code Section 5100 et seq. Each Bidder agrees by submitting a Bid that its Bid shall remain open, is irrevocable, and may not be modified, withdrawn, or cancelled for a period of at least sixty (60) Calendar Days after Bid Submission Deadline. The Contractor shall complete all preconstruction requirements, ordering of materials, and construction of the Project within the Contract Time of Sixty (60) Working Days after the date of commencement specified in the Notice to Proceed to Fulfill Preconstruction Requirements issued by the City. See the Contract for Construction for details regarding the initial Notice to Proceed to Fulfill Preconstruction Requirements and Notice to Proceed with Order of Materials and subsequent Notice to Proceed with Construction.
