LES is seeking bidders to submit bids to perform vegetation maintenance on the 115kV Transmission Line #1189T. The scope generally includes tree or brush removal, tree or brush pruning, removal/disposal of debris, stump grinding & restoration. The work included in this contract will be performed in proximity to energized conductors of the Lincoln Electric System transmission system. The Contractor will establish and conform to safe work practices, rules and regulations appropriate for such work. The Contractor will comply with operating procedures established by LES, ANSI Standards A300, Z133.1, OSHA, and State of Nebraska. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to document instruction and training of the possible hazards involved in working around energized conductors. LES on a limited basis will switch lines out as deemed necessary by LES Project Inspector, Vegetation Management. After notice is received to LES System Control, a minimum 14 full days will be required for the switch out to take place. This service will be provided at no cost to the contractor. o Line #1189T runs approximately 2.5 miles from the 56th & Everett Substation to approximately 56th & Edgewood. The intent of this specification is to set out minimum requirements for performing the proposed work that meet the construction standards of LES. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to review the drawings and visit the construction site to determine any adverse conditions and to take into consideration all details of the construction which are not covered in this specification. These include but are not limited to American National Standards Institute, Inc. (ANSI), Standards A300, Z133.1 and OSHA. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, transportation, tools, trucks, and other equipment/material necessary to perform the work specified herein and shall perform all work in a neat and workmanlike manner. The Contractor shall complete the work in a thorough, workmanlike manner and follow the best safe modern practices for the construction and installation of the items or materials herein provided for, any omission in the specifications notwithstanding. Clarification Deadline 8/14/2024 4:00 PM In general, the order of construction shall be approved by LES. Lincoln Electric System is requesting bids to furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, and material to provide clearance of LES 115kV transmission line as per LES Specifications included in this bid solicitation. Successful bidder will be required to complete (1) the LES Standard Services Contract; 2) furnish proof of insurance with coverage specified in the Contract by an insurance company licensed to do business in Nebraska and rated at least B+ in A.M. Bests Rating. Certificate must show LES listed as additional insured for general liability and include waiver of subrogation; 3) furnish a performance and labor and material payment bond from a surety licensed to do business in Nebraska and also rated at least B+ in A.M. Bests Rating, 4) Return a completed copy of the Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance Request Form.
