2024 OGLEBAY SNOWAAAKING PIPING IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT consists of the replacement of approximately 800LF of steel pipe in the snowmaking system with DR7 HDPE pipe made up of varying lengths of 8 ,6" and 4". The existing steel pipe can be abandoned in place with the new line installed parallel to the existing. Four existing snowmaking hydrants will be connected to the new piping system with sch 80 galvanized piping. All excavation, installation of pipe, connection to existing system, pressure testing of pipe, backfill and compaction, grading, seeding and mulching to be included. Bidders are advised that on this Project, each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check payable to the Wheeling Park Commission for 5% of the total bid. In lieu of a certified check, a Bid Bond for 5% of the total bid will be acceptable. Each person or firm submitting a bid for any portion of the work shall include their West Virginia Contractor's License number and shall provide a current copy of their West Virginia Contractor's License with their bid. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within sixty day of the actual opening thereof. The successful Contractor and Subcontractors must comply with all rules and Regulations of the West Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission, and must be able to provide proof of general liability and automobile liability insurance that meets the minimum requirements as found in the Project Manual. The Wheeling Park Commission reserves the right to delete any or all portions of the Bid, waive any informalities or minor defects, and reject any or all bids.
