Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
Project Description/Scope of Work The Water Tower Recreation Center Exterior Rehabilitation project is located at 209-99 E. Hartwell Lane, Philadelphia, PA 19118. HISTORICAL restoration of recreation center building exterior; including period replication windows (base bid, alternates #1 and #2), ornamental cast stone cornice and coping repairs and replacements, exterior cleaning of masonry surfaces, period carpentry repairs and replacements, painting, misc. S.S. metal ADA railings. Additional trades needed included but are not limited to: Stainless Steel Gutters, Downspouts, HISTORICAL Window Restoration, Exterior Plumbing, Asphalt, and Excavation. As of August 4, 2025, the previously awarded general contractor has withdrawn from the project. A firm construction start date is currently unknown. Construction is expected to take approximately 6 months. A prevailing wage chart has been released by the project administrator. *Subcontractor bidding may be ongoing for select trades. Interested subcontractors should contact the awarded general contractor to check on available bidding opportunities.
