Reconstruction of sanitary sewer lift station accesses: 2025 - LS #14 is at the end of Pleasant View Way along the shore of Lotus Lake. The driveway is approximately 600 feet long. The existing driveway is grass and can only be accessed via lightweight equipment. 2027 - LS # 5 is at the end of Holly Lane along the shore of Christmas Lake. It serves residents of both Chanhassen and Shorewood. The driveway is approximately 350 feet long. The existing driveway is gravel and requires repair (regrading to fix ruts and washouts) after nearly ever medium intensity or greater rainfall. The repairs take city staff time away from their daily utility duties and the rutting of the driveway jeopardizes access to the lift station in case of emergency pumping or power supply needs. The emergency needs are typically a result of storms and high rainfall which is also when the access could be compromised. An added benefit to the project will be to mitigate washouts of sediment into Christmas Lake and therefore provide a water quality benefit to the lake. As of August 10, 2024, This project is included in the city's 2024 -2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
