2024-25 Bulk Salt Each bidder shall submit with their proposal a certified check, cashier's check on a solvent bank, or acceptable bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid shown on the proposal. This security shall be made payable to the Owner and will serve as a guarantee that the bidder will file all bonds and securities required and enter into any Contract awarded him, in accordance with the terms of his bid, within fourteen (14) days after certification of award. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into Contract with the Owner, or provide the bonds and other items required by the Contract, said bid security shall be forfeited as liquidated damages and the money derived therefrom will become the property of the Owner. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date of the bid opening. The City of Manhattan reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities therein.
