The anticipated building size is approximately 30,000 sq. ft. and will contain general offices for Administration, Engineering, Operations, Customer Service that includes customer friendly drive-thru for various transactions and warehouse space Renovation of approximately 3,300 gsf of existing Ops Center to leverage efficiencies in space utilization. Union County is soliciting SOQs from well-qualified Architectural or Engineering (A/E) firms interested to provide design and construction administration services for the Union County Water Operation Center Expansion and Renovation project. The Architectural and Engineering Design firm will be required to provide professional services in conjunction with the services of a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR). This is a Request for Qualification (RFQ). Responding firms are not required to submit price information nor work product with submittal packages. Compliance with NC G.S. 143-64.31 is required. Union County (UC) reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, to waive technicalities and to make such selection deemed in its best interest. With limited response, Union County reserves the right to extend the solicitation opening date as appropriate in order to assure a competitive procurement process. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. A North Carolina Architectural and/or Engineering License(s) is/are required for this project. Union County reserves the right to award to multiple vendors. Offerors are required to comply with the non-collusion requirements set forth in the Solicitation Documents.
