Kitchen and Bathroom Renovations Including New Kitchen Cabinets & Bathroom Vanitys & Water Closets, Reinstallation of Owners Sinks and Lavatory's & Related Plumbing, & New Light Fixtures in Kitchens & Bathrooms at Park Place Apartments The Housing Authority of theCounty of Polk, Arkansas, hereinafter called the "Public Housing Agency", or PHA, will receive bids for Kitchen and Bathroom renovations at Park Place Apartments in Mena, AR, Any bidreceived after the closing time will be returned unopened. Additional sets for Prime Bidders and all documents for nonprime bidders such as materialsuppliers and subcontractors maybe purchased at their own expense by sending their check for $50.00 to the Architect at the address below. For viewing prior tomaking plan deposit, Bidding Documents may be examined atSouthern Reprographics, 901 W.7th Street, Little Rock, AR, and atthe following additional places: Housing Authority of the Countyof Polk 509 South Morrow Street Mena Arkansas 71953 (479) 394 1565 Photographic Reproductions,Burris, Inc. 113 South Arkansas Ave. Russellville, Arkansas 72201 Prime bidder's returning documents prior to the bid date and/ornot submitting a bona-fide bid,shall forfeit their deposit unlessdocuments are returned seven (7)calendar days before opening of bids, with notification in writingthat a bid will not be submitted. Said notification may be by email. Prime bidders who have not returned the documents by the seventh day after bid date shall forfeittheir deposit. The attention of each bidder iscalled to the requirements as toconditions of employment to beobserved and minimum wagerates (included in this ProjectManual) to be paid under the contract. Participation of small, minority and women ownedenterprises is encouraged. All bids must be submitted onforms furnished by the PHA asbound in the Project Manual, submitted in duplicate and submittedin a sealed envelope plainlymarked to show the name andaddress of the bidder, bidders license no., contract job number,and date and time of bid opening. Bidders must conform to the requirements of the Arkansas State Licensing Law for General Contractors and are required to havea current Arkansas Contractor'sLicense in accordance with current Arkansas State Statute 71- 701 et seq. Bids received fromcontractors not attending the PreBid Conference and Walkthrough or not on the Bidders List, will be returned unopened. Each bid submitted must contain the following items. 1. Bid Form included in theProject Manual, with all blanksfilled in, signed by the bidder. 2. A cashiers check, certifiedcheck, or acceptable bidders bondpayable to the Owner in anamount not less than 5% of thelargest possible total for the bidsubmitted must accompany eachbid as a guarantee that, ifawarded the contract, the bidderwill promptly enter into a contractand execute such bonds and insurance as may be required. Contractors Certification regarding Labor Standards and Prevailing Wage Rate Requirements. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish an Arkansas Statutory Performance and Payment Bond or Bonds in theamount of 100 percent of theContract Bid for contracts that exceed $25,000. The PHA reserves the right toreject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the bid opening.
