CITY OF SCOTT LA HWY 93 / I-10 SOUTH FRONTAGE ROAD WATERLINE EXTENSION The project will consist of the installation of approximately 4,600 feet of 12 PVC and 400 feet of 14HDPE water mains. Bids received after the time specified above will not be considered. On other sets of documents furnished to bidders the deposit less actual cost of reproduction, will be refunded upon return of the documents no later than ten days after receipt of bids. If the Bidder intends to have the plans and specifications shipped, prior prepaid arrangements must be made with a third party courier or parcel shipping service. No plans and specifications shall be released without the above deposit in receipt at the office of Grooms Engineering, LLC. The Plans and the Specifications and Documents shall be available until twenty-four (24) hours before the time scheduled for the opening of bids. Bids shall be submitted inside a sealed envelope addressed to City of Scott showing the name of the project as above and the name of the Bidder. Any Bidder submitting a bid in the amount of $50,000.00 or more shall be a licensed contractor in accordance with Louisiana R.S. 37:2150-2164 and shall show the license number on the front of the sealed envelope in which the bid is enclosed. The Bidder shall hold a license with the classification Municipal and Public Works Construction as issued by the State of Louisiana Licensing Board for Contractors. Bids submitted not in accordance with these requirements shall be rejected and returned unopened to the Bidder. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form included in the Specifications and the Documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Scott, the amount of which is not to be less than 5% of the total bid. This surety shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract should it be awarded to him in conformity with the Documents. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the full amount of the contract shall be required.
