Site work and paving for a road / highway in Little Ferry, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Road Improvement of Frederick Street Bids must be prepared on standard Proposal Forms in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications and must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of bidder and title of bid on outside, addressed to the Mayor and Council, Borough of Little Ferry, and must be accompanied by an executed Non-Collusion Affidavit, Standard Consent of Surety and Certified Check or Bid Bond made payable to the Borough of Little Ferry for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid, and be delivered at the place and on the hour above named. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment and Performance Bond in approved form and with sureties satisfactory to the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Little Ferry, which bond shall be in the amount in the Contract. The Borough of Little Ferry reserves the right to hold for consideration for a period of sixty (60) days, the three (3) lowest bids, and the check or bid bond and consent of surety accompanying same, after which the said three (3) lowest bids will be notified of the action of the Mayor & Council and the deposits of the unsuccessful bidders returned. The deposits of all other bidders will be returned within one (1) week after the opening of bids, or may be obtained from the Borough Clerk at the close of the meeting at which said bids were opened. Bidders on this work shall be required to pay the Prevailing Wage Rates for the locality in which the project is being performed. Prevailing Wage Rates shall be determined by the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Acts, Laws of 1963, Chapter 150 (R.S. 34:11 - 56.25 et seq.). The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Little Ferry reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any or all bids, or to accept the one that in its judgment will be for the best interests of the Borough. Bidders are required to comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27-7.3 regarding Affirmative Action of Executive Order 11246 regarding Equal Employment Opportunity, and Chapter 33, Laws of 1977 regarding disclosure of Partners and Stockholders. The project is Wholly State Funded. Therefore, bidders are required to comply with the applicable requirements of the State of New Jersey's Small Business Enterprise Utilization, State of New Jersey Equal Employment Opportunity Special Provisions, State of New Jersey Requirements for Affirmative Action to Assure Equal Employment Opportunity, the bidder is also subject to Investigating, Reporting and Resolving Employment Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Complaints as required by the State of New Jersey. The contractor is also subject to State of New Jersey Payroll Requirements and Americans with Disability Act requirements. Said requirements are incorporated into the project's Bid Specifications. All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days.
