Renovation of an educational facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 21,079-square-foot, six-story above grade educational facility.

id Notes YOU MUST BE REGISTERED IN NGEM TO VIEW THIS SOLICITATION. SCOPE: The Work, as further defined in Exhibit A of the Instructions, will primarily take place on Floors 3, 4, and 5 within a six story structure at the address of 2040 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89102. There will be minimal demolition as well as new construction. The Work is to include new casework, flooring, ceilings, plumbing fixtures, additional electrical for emergency radios and surface finishes as shown per the specifications and drawings for this project. The Work will be performed in a phased approach. Phase 1 will include Floor 3, Floor 4, and the south side of Floor 5. Phase 2 will include the remaining portion of Floor 5 that was not previously included in Phase 1. Occupants currently on Floor 5 will be relocated to Floor 3 once completed to allow Work designated for Phase 2. The building at the Location is an occupied structure, and all contractors onsite will be required to keep the areas clean during construction. Further, all contractors will be required to clean the areas they worked after completion of their respective portion(s) of the Work. This includes, but is not limited to, all stairwell and elevator areas within the building of the Location. Contractors may be required to lift items through a removable window, as elevators are relatively small. It is expected that contractors will complete the Work in 12 hour shifts each day, five days per week, to expedite completion and minimize the duration of interruption to then-current occupants. Work will be performed during the hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday (60 hours per week until all Work is completed) (hereafter, "Work Timing"). Work is required to be completed within 18 consecutive calendar weeks. Any change to the hours and/or days of Work performance, or time allowance for Work completion, must be approved in writing by a designated UMC representative. Access controls and all fire detection systems for the building are Honeywell branded equipment. Any additional or new card readers must be integrated with the existing access control systems. Written certification is a required part of the contract pursuant to subsection 4 of NRS 332.065 TITLE VI SOLICITATION NOTICE: UMC, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders or offerors that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, [select disadvantaged business enterprises or airport concession disadvantaged business enterprises] will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. 2023137, CL-2024-521 Question Deadline 08/26/2024 at 4:00 PM PT All questions/requests for clarification related to this Bid must be received in the NGEM system no later than above time and date.
