This Project is required to interconnect a proposed copper mine in Northern Saskatchewan and includes approximately 78 km of new 138 kV transmission line construction (operated at 110 kV) from the existing IF56 line to the mine site. The purpose of the Notice of Intended Procurement for IF56-FRN 138kV New Build Construction is to present an opportunity for prospective proponents to view the site conditions prior to snowfall and gain vendor insight on the project. The anticipated Right of Way will not have the vegetation cleared however another site visit will be available during the RFP posting period to view the Right of Way after the vegetation has been cleared. It is highly recommended that prospective proponents attend this site visit as the terrain may present certain characteristics that will influence the methodology to complete the work.
