Renovation of a mixed-use development in Huffman, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Provide, install and integrate a new camera system and a door access system. The camera install will include replacing current cameras and adding new camera locations. It will also include all required software, hardware, licensing and hosting. The door access system will include replacing components on and existing system, electrifying additional openings and some new door hardware. Cabling, wall penetrations, and door prep will be required for some new locations of doors and cameras. These system will have to integrate with each other. More details to be provided in specifications and drawings. The Huffman Independent School District ("HISD" or "District") is soliciting competitive sealed proposals for general construction services of a General Contractor the project(s) described on Attachment D ("the Project") pursuant to Chapter 2269 of the Texas Government Code. The RFCSP provides all information, Drawings and Specifications necessary to prepare and submit a sealed Proposal for consideration and ranking by the Owner. The Owner may select the Proposal that offers the "best value" for the District based on the published selection criteria and weight of criteria, and on its ranking evaluation. As indicated herein, factors other than price will be considered in making this determination. Upon approval of the rankings by the Board of Trustees, the District's representative Owner will attempt to negotiate a contract with the selected Proposer. If the prices proposed are more than the District's budget for the Project, the Owner's representative may discuss with the selected Proposer options for scope or time modifications and any price change associated with the modification. If the representative is unable to reach a contract with the selected Proposer, the representative may formally end negotiations with that Proposer and proceed to the next ranked Proposer in the order of the selection ranking until a contract is reached or all proposals are rejected. LOCATION : Huffman Administration Building Hargrave High School Huffman Middle School Huffman Elementary School (3 buildings) Huffman Intermediate School Ben Bowen Elementary School Copeland Elementary School Falcon Ridge Elementary School Maintenance and DAEP Huffman Stadium, Press Box, and Auxiliary buildings Time of Commencement and Completion: Actual construction on the Project projected to begin on October 1st. The substantial completion date for all work is April 15th, 2025 Estimated Project Budget: $ 2,750,000 Liquidated Damages: This Project shall include a liquidated damages provision providing for liquidated damages for each calendar day of delay until the Work is substantially complete. The provisions will be set forth in the form of document provided at Attachment C. For this Project, the liquidated damages shall be stipulated as $500.00 per day. Umbrella or Excess Insurance: This project shall have umbrella or excess liability insurance in the amount of $5,000,000. Highest scored proposers will be invited to interview on SEPTEMBER 10, 2024, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, please make yourself available should you be notified for the opportunity to participate in the interview process Minimum Wage Rates: Successful proposers shall pay at least the minimum wage rate set forth in the Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule ascertained and adopted by the Board of Trustees to all employees and subcontractors performing work on this project and in no event shall the successful proposer pay less than the rate adopted. See the Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule, shown below, labeled Exhibit 1. Proposer agrees to hold the proposal open for acceptance for thirty (30) calendar days from the proposal date. A Bid Bond payable to the Huffman ISD, for no less than 5% of the largest possible total (include the cost of alternates listed) for the proposal listed. Performance and Payment Bonds for one hundred percent (100%) of the construction cost will be required prior to beginning the work.
