Excavation, Concrete Pads and Foundations at ERHS, GHS and JBHS Scope of Program General In general, the overall requirement is to provide complete installation of the new concrete pad to include but limited to: -Excavation as required to accommodate a new 32'x62' concrete pad and associated turndowns and pier foundations per drawings provided. - Provide all labor and material to install all gravel subbase as shown on drawings - Provide all labor and material and equipment to install a 32x62' concrete pad at 4" thick per drawing provided. Concrete to be 4000 PSI strength provided by qualified ready mix supplier - Light gauge W.W.M wire mesh reinforcement is suitable for slab. Wire reinforcement is to be elevated on chairs, bricks or other suitable means - Turndowns are to be 1-0' deep from top of slab and one 1-0" wide around the entire perimeter of the pad. - Section A-A on Foundation detail for these pads shows #4 rebar continuous in the turndown perimeter with laps as specified on drawings. Contractor is to provide and install all steel reinforcement as shown Contractor is responsible for layout of all grading, elevations, pad corners, building corners, and slab penetrations per drawings provided - Provide labor and equipment to remove any excess soil off site. - Provide and install all formwork to accommodate turndowns, piers, and slab as shown on drawings -Provide labor and material to remove/strip formwork and backfill around new pad. Email clint.corbin@rcstn.net. Award It is the full intent, assuming that satisfactory proposals are received, to award a contract within 7 days of project award. A bid bond executed by a security company authorized to do business in the state of Tennessee, in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the bid, must be submitted to the Robertson County finance department within (10) ten working days of the bid being accepted by the Robertson County School Board. The security bond must be made payable to the Robertson County School Board. Failure to comply will result in rejection of proposal. Robertson County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities or informalities, and to accept any bid deemed in the best interest of the County. All bids will be considered in accordance with Title VI and without regard to age, sex, color, race, creed, national origin, religious persuasion, marital status, political belief, or disability that does not prohibit the performance of duty. The contract will be awarded to the qualified contractor whose offer conforming to the conditions and requirements of this request for proposal and will be most advantageous to the Robertson County School System. The committee's evaluation of criteria, cost and other factors will be taken into consideration. The Robertson County schools reserve the right to reject any or all offers and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in proposals received. This Request for Proposal does not commit the Robertson County School System to contract for services from this solicitation. A written award or contract furnished to the successful contractor, within the time of acceptance specified in the offer, shall be deemed to result in a binding contract without further action by either party.
