Renovation of an educational facility in Pittsfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the sum of 5% of the total base bid A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Pikeland CUSD No. 10 equal to this amount will be an acceptable Bid Bond. Replace Aluminum-Framed Entrances – Pikeland Community School Construction Schedule: the schedule is a bit unusual due to the fact that there is $100,000.00 of Esser funding that needs to be spent by September 30, 2024. The goal is to have the project awarded at the 08/21/24 board meeting and also have the owner/ contractor agreement signed and have insurance policy/ bonding submitted to district in the following week or so. Soon after, the shop drawings will need to be submitted. The project materials will need to be purchased by the end of September so Esser funding can be properly applied. The substantial completion date is 07/11/2024. The contractor can commence with on-site work when school is not in session… this would include Christmas break, spring break and summer recess. All entrances must be operable and functional during school hours so the building is fully code compliant for emergency egress. There are no liquidated damages in this project. As federal Esser funding is involved, the Davis Bacon Act is in effect. There will be Davis Bacon Wage Rate requirements. Contractor must submit monthly certified payroll records to the School District.
