Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Salem, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The Project consists of replacing the existing superstructure, widening the existing substructure, and associated appurtenances. Bidders must be able to obtain a license as a Contractor in the Commonwealth of Virginia to be awarded the project. Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee as specified in the Instruction to Bidders. The bidder's attention is directed to the requirements of Title 54.1, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia The City of Salem does not discriminate against faith-based organizations. Plan Holders List not maintained. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Owner in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Owner in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than eleven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding.
