Construction of corrugated metal pipes with steel headwalls and wingwalls, pavement removal, grading, and other related incidental work at one site. The site is located on Old Highway 118 between Road RS and Road S in Burt County, Nebraska. The project is referred to as Decatur Southwest, C-11(440) and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required to construct single 96 x 203 corrugated metal pipe on a 50-deg. skew (LHB) with 2 30-deg. elbows and with steel headwalls and wingwalls, channel shaping and salvaging of rock riprap. Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Burt County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to provide a Start of Construction date and an End of Construction date with their Bid Proposal. The desired completion date for the site is May 1, 2025. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed fifty (50) calendar days for completion after beginning work at that site, provided they do not exceed their specified completion date. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Burt County Board of Supervisors. The Burt County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Award of the Contract will be in accordance with the County Purchasing Act s competitive bidding considerations as set forth in Neb.
