LCSO Administration Building Hazard Mitigation Question Submission Deadline:August 29, 2024, 4:00pm The Leon County reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals in the best interest of Leon County. Leon County is seeking the services of a State of Florida licensed General Contractor to perform work related to Hazard Mitigation (Wind Mitigation) of the Leon County Sheriff's Office Administration Building located at 2825 Municipal Way, Tallahassee, Florida. The scope of the Services is to provide retrofit measures to upgrade the structural capabilities of the building envelope to withstand a 130 MPH wind event. Scope of Work includes the following: A. Demolition of existing windows, exterior doors, louvered vents, shingles, gutters and perimeter plywood roof deck; B. Installation of new impact resistant windows and exterior doors, including roll-up door; C. Installation of new impact resistant louvered vents; D. Installation of new hurricane-resistant truss anchors to exterior walls, re-nail wood decking to trusses and installation of additional screws at parapets; E. Installation of new perimeter plywood roof deck, new standing seam metal roof, new roof flashing, roof expansion joint, new roof gutters and tie down straps on rooftop mounted equipment; F. Repair exterior stucco and paint and interior drywall at work areas and paint and; G. Install sealant at all new work as required.
