The Project Consists of One (1) Base Bid and One (1) Alternate Bid. The Base Bid Consists of Roadway Improvements Along 2nd Avenue Between Sterling Place and Sheridan Avenue and Along Spruce Street Between 10th Avenue and 12th Avenue, Including Mill and Pave, Construction of Accessible Curb Ramps, Full Depth Pavement Repair, Installation of Traffic Calming Signage and Traffic Striping. The Alternate Bid a Includes the Installation of Green Colored Pavement in Bicycle Lanes. All Work on This Contract Must Be Completed Within Sixty (60) Calendar Days From Issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Proposals Must Be Made on the Standard Proposal Forms Included With the Contract Documents in the Manner Designated in the Contract Documents, Must Be Enclosed in Sealed Envelopes Bearing the Name and Address of the Bidder and the Name of the Project on the Outside and Be Addressed to the Borough of Roselle, and Must Be Accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety From a Surety Company Authorized to Do Business in the State of New Jersey and Acceptable to the Owner and Either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check Drawn to the Order of Borough of Roselle for Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) of the Amount Bid, Except That the Check Shall Not Exceed $20,000.00. The Successful Bidder is Hereby Notified That a Performance Bond and Labor and Material (Payment) Bond for the Full Amount of This Project is Required. The Award of the Contract for This Project Will Not Be Made Until the Necessary Funds Have Been Provided by the Owner in a Lawful Manner. Proposals for This Contract Will Only Be Accepted From Bidders Who Have Properly Qualified in Accordance With the Requirements of the Contract Documents.
