Remodeling, Repair and Minor Construction Services (Two-Step Process). The City of Chesapeake (City) is soliciting bids from qualified bidders to establish multiple indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity ("IDIQ") contracts for remodeling, repair, and minor construction services to various types of City-owned buildings and structures within the City of Chesapeake. For the purpose of this IFB, "minor construction services" is defined as work, renovation, or remodel services with an aggregate value of less than $500,000.00. Background The City of Chesapeake requires a variety of remodeling, repair, and minor construction services at City facilities. Each successful bidder under this IFB (each, a "Contractor") must be capable of performing tasks within the fields of carpentry, masonry, concrete, drywall, electrical, painting, plumbing, fencing, flooring, and all-around handyman services. Work may include, without limitation, office remodeling, office build-out, construction of storage and other small buildings, repair of concrete structures and sidewalks, restroom remodeling, or any other minor construction projects as requested by the City. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: This contract shall be in effect from the date of contract execution for three (3) years with two (2), one (1) year renewal options. Renewal shall be at the City's discretion.
