New Community Well in the community of Thurston in Upson County GA. The project includes the construction of a new six (6) inch well approximately five hundred eighty-one (581) feet deep with 60 HP submersible pump & new chlorination system including new well house, SCADA system, exterior site improvements, as well as upgrades/ retrofitting to existing well. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Bonds must be written by an acceptable Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of the Treasury, Circular 570, latest edition. NOTE: Contractor and all subcontractors must obtain a business license in Georgia, be fully insured, and be a Licensed Contractor in the State of Georgia. All work to be performed under this project must be completed within 270 consecutive calendar days following receipt of Notice to Proceed. Upson County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, the right to reject any and all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids and to reject the bid of any bidder whom Owner believes would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that bidder whether because the bid is not responsive, the bidder is unqualified, or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner
