Renovation of an educational facility in Whittier, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

EXISTING CONDITIONS: Wood Deck/ No Insulation Insulation/ DensDeck Cover Board/ PIB Foam Roof/ Polyester Coating Second Roof SYSTEM OVERVIEW: Removal of the existing roof and any roof deck insulation which may be present. Install Polyiso Insulation, DensDeck, WeatherWeld 1B-16- 30 system, and Title 24 compliant reflective roof coating. Remove existing roof(s) and insulation to entirely expose the roof deck. B. Repair any damage to the substrate, remove any exposed or erupted fasteners, and clean thoroughly in preparation to receive the roof system. C. Install Insulation with approved adhesive and/or fasteners. D. Install cover board with approved adhesive. E. Install base sheet with approved adhesive. F. Apply Seamless roof membrane materials to provide a watertight roof assembly that meets WeatherWeld warranty requirements. Encapsulate entire roof area. G. Install Flashings and Accessories. H. Install Walkway pads (where applicable). I. Apply Anti-Skid Traffic Coating (where applicable) Bids must be submitted on the District s Bid Forms in a sealed envelope clearly marked in accordance with the Information for Bidders. An onsite bid clock shall be used to determine the time. Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier s check, or a Bid Bond in favor of the District in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. Each bid shall also be accompanied by the non-collusion declaration, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the Information for Bidders and the Contract Documents. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the District with a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, and a Payment Bond each equal to 100% of the successful bid price, prior to execution of the Contract. All bonds are to be secured from a surety that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, and is admitted by the State of California. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following appropriate classification(s) of contractor s license(s), for the work bid upon, and must maintain the license(s) throughout the duration of the Contract: Class C39 License. Award of Contract: The District shall award the Contract for the Project to the bidder submitting the lowest bid as determined from the base bid alone, and is deemed responsible by the District. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process. Bid protests, if any, must comply with the requirements set forth in the Information for Bidders in order to be timely and considered by the District. The last date to submit questions shall be November 1, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. All questions must be submitted in accordance with the procedures set forth in the Information for Bidders.
