Estimate: $2,300,000. The deadline to ask questions is 8/29/2024 12:00 PM CST The project generally includes pavement reconstruction of Dorrance Lane between Oxford Glen Lane and approximately 25 LF past the dog park driveway. The project includes installation of 370 LF of storm sewer ranging in size from 24" RCP to 54" RCP, junction boxes and inlets. The project includes removing and replacing approximately 5,300 SY of concrete pavement, including driveways and sidewalk in the project area. The project also includes 1,600 L.F. of 8-inch water line replacement along with approximately 1,400 L.F. of rehabilitation of 12-inch and 10-inch sanitary sewer. All proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, or a certified check drawn upon a National or State Bank in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount, payable to the City, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that a bidder will enter into a contract and execute bonds within ten (10) days after Notice of Awards. Bids without a check or bid bond will not be considered. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the largest possible total for the bid submitted as a guaranty of completion of the forms provided by the City within 10 days after notice of award. Bid sureties will be returned to all but the three lowest acceptable bidders within 24 hours after execution of the contract. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, upon forms furnished by the City, each in the amount of 100 percent of the total contract price, from a surety company acceptable to the City of Meadows Place. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all technicalities, and accept any bid that it deems advantageous of itself. In case of ambiguity or lack of clarity in stating the prices in the bids, the City reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof, or to reject the bids. Unreasonable or "Unbalanced" unit prices will be sufficient cause for rejection of any kind.
