The Town of St Paul (the Town) is seeking expressions of interest from consulting engineering firms who wish to be considered to provide professional engineering services for: ST. PAUL-REPLACE AND CONSTRUCT NEW SIDEWALK VAR. The scope of work shall consist of providing.... o General Engineering and Architectural Services for the project. o Project oversight and cost management. o Compliance with any and all federal, state, and local regulations. o Appropriate permitting. o Compliance with any environmental, civil rights, and construction standards within VDOT guidelines. o Assistance in any right-of-way acquisition under the guidance of the Town's legal counsel. This work is to be accomplished utilizing computerized design and drafting systems compatible with VDOT's automated design and drafting systems. VDOT's roadway design system is GEOPAK Civil Design Software and the drafting system is MicroStation. This project will be developed utilizing VDOT's policies and procedures and FHWA's guidelines. This Request for Proposal does not commit the Town of St Paul to award a contract, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a proposal for this request, or to procure or contract for services. The Town of St Paul reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received as a result of this request, to negotiate with any qualified firm or to modify or cancel in part or in its entirety the Request for Proposal if it is in the best interest of the Town of St Paul to do so. This Request does not commit the Town of St Paul to provide any payment for costs associated with the preparation of proposals submitted in response to this Request for Proposal. The Town of St Paul reserves the right to alter the project delivery method at any time during the contract period. The Town of St Paul will notify the consultant of such decision, revise the scope of services and respective manhours. The change will be implemented utilizing an additional task order or supplemental agreement based on the contract type. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
