The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. This project, BUILDING 703 CARPET REPLACMENT PROJECT consists of Installation of new carpet within building 703. The final result of BUILDING 703 CARPET REPLACMENT PROJECT is to remove carpet and specified materials and replace with new specified materials that meet or exceed Federal, State & Local code. The function of the carpeting shall match the functionality of the building. This project will promote life safety through a well-executed contract, meeting code requirements and optimal functionality. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision/quality control, and project management necessary to complete the BUILDING 703 CARPET REPLACMENT PROJECT at the Eastern Air Defense Sector (EADS), 366 Otis Street, Rome, New York 13441-4812. This includes but is not limited to demolition/ recovery/ disposal of existing materials, delivery/receiving of all equipment to B703. Use of Government equipment should not be considered during any cost estimation. All work must be completed without damage to any other government property outside of this work scope. All work performed under this SOW shall be conducted in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations, Department of Defense (DoD) policies and regulations, and Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG). 3.2.1 Carpet Material Specifications: Contractor shall use Carpet Tiles STATICSMART FLOORING by JULIE INDUSTRIES, PRESIDENTIAL SERIES ESD CARPET TILE, color ROOSEVELT or approved equal, and ROPPE vinyl base, 035 slate 4 inch to match corresponding carpet or approved equal. Carpeting and associated materials must be submitted with AF3000 and approved prior to any work. 3.2.2 Carpet Installation: o Work hours shall be Monday through Friday 1500-2300 hours, with the exception of Federal holidays. o Remove and replace approximately 4,634 sqft of carpet, Room Schedule is attached to end of this document. o The contractor shall provide new thresholds to make smooth transitions where different areas of flooring meet. The contractor shall field verify before installation number and type of transitions. o Contractor shall provide 10% "attic" stock of carpet for future use by EADS for repairs. o ALL MEASUREMENTS AND AREAS ARE APPROXIMATE rounded off to the nearest whole number. The contractor shall verify all measurements. o The contractor shall remove all cove base and floor covering from sub floor to include all adhesives, compounds, mastics, and thin set. o Contractor shall remove all rough surfaces, repair all damage and prep floor surface with a self-leveling floor T&L according to manufacture specifications prior to the install of new floor covering. The contractor shall prepare the existing floor surfaces to ensure 100% adhesion of the new floor coverings. o The contractor shall install new 4-inch vinyl base in all rooms in this work statement. o The contractor shall move all furniture to a swing space designated by Civil Engineering. o EADS shall be responsible for all electrical, movement of computers, personal items and all Comm. cabling to the furniture. o The contractor shall dispose of all containment debris associated with this job off base and provide valid documentation of disposal. Contractor shall clean up after each work period and dispose of all debris at the close of each day. 3.2.3 Final Inspection: Contractor will schedule time for a final walk through of all work areas with designated COR to ensure satisfactory accomplishment of any deficiency's found during project.
