Maintenance for Gravity Grease Interceptors and/or Hydro-mechanical Grease Interceptors. Maintenance of gravity grease interceptors should occur every 90 days, or as required by inspection or sampling. Frequency of maintenance may be increased or decreased, on a case-by-case basis, as approved by the City's FOG program. Maintenance of hydro-mechanical grease interceptors should occur every thirty (30) days, or as required by inspection or sampling. Scope of Work To decrease the amount of fats, oils and grease discharged into the sanitary sewer system by undergoing periodic inspections and routine cleanings of the grease control equipment located at various City locations (specified by address and tank size on page 4) on an as needed basis; thereby bringing Dothan into compliance with the City of Dothan's "Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG)" program. Grease control equipment maintenance shall include but not be limited to the following. Complete removal of all grease control equipment contents rather than skimming the top grease layer. Thorough cleaning of the grease control equipment to remove grease and scum from inner walls, floors and baffles. Filling cleaned grease control equipment with cold potable water. Completion of the non-hazardous waste manifest form and disposal at an appropriate, designated facility in accordance with applicable laws. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all items covered in the request, or any portion(s) thereof: waive formalities, re-advertise and/or take such other steps decreed necessary and in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any proposals within a bid when they are deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
