Wythe County, VA (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: 2024 Austinville Sewer Improvements The Project includes the following Contracts: * Austinville Sewer Improvements Phase II including the replacement or installation of approximately 4176 LF of 8" gravity sewer and appurtenance. * Austinville Wastewater Treatment Plant, Trickling Filter Wall Repair including the repair of deteriorating CMU trickling filter wall. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Mattern & Craig, 403 E. Market Street, Johnson City, TN 37601 Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00AM and 4:00PM and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Bidders must be licensed as a Contractor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The bidder's attention is directed to the requirements of Title 54.1, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia. Bidders must comply with the following: the President's Executive Order # 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex or national origin; the President's Executive Orders # 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; the Civil Rights Act of 1964; the Davis-Bacon Act; American Iron and Steel provisions contained in Subpart J of the VCWRLF Contract Inserts, and MBE/WBE provisions contained in Subpart C.
