The base bid of this project generally includes removal and replacement of the two existing rotary drum screens (the new screens to be furnished by owner/installed by contractor), replacement of all guardrails and FRP decking on both the headworks and flow splitter box, removal and replacement of concrete trough wall lining system on the headworks, all required bypass structures, general spalled and corroded concrete wall repair, and other appurtenant and related items of work. Alternate #1 generally includes all materials and labor required to replace the existing manual bar screen with a mechanical bar screen of the same make and model of the two mechanical bar screens being supplied by the Owner for the base bid. Alternate #2 generally includes all materials and labor required to furnish and install a complete hydroxyl radical ozone odor control system. Alternate 3 generally includes all materials and labor required to furnish and install three electric actuators onto two existing slide gates and one proposed slide gate. Each bidder shall submit with his bid a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond issued by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana. The bond shall be countersigned by a person who is under residing in Louisiana. The amount of this check shall be five (5%) percent of the amount bid and shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract should it be awarded to him. Checks or bonds shall be payable to the City of New Iberia, Louisiana Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes
