The purpose of this Quick Quote is to solicit bids from qualified firms to establish a contract for asphalt inspection, repair, and paving services on the parking areas and roadways of the Davis & McDaniel Veterans Care Center in Roanoke, Virginia. II. SCOPE OF WORK General Requirements: 1. The vendor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, transportation, and materials necessary to complete the required asphalt services. 2. Barriers and signage shall be provided by the awarded contractor and set in place during the work and initial cure period to the extent necessary to protect contractor personnel and to preclude traffic intrusion. 3. A Virginia Contractor's License is required, per Special Terms and Conditions Number 18. 4. All work performed under this contract shall be accomplished by properly trained tradesmen. The awarded contractor shall be responsible for all job site supervision to ensure quality installation and repairs. 5. All work shall be completed to the satisfaction of the care center Building and Grounds Director. Unsatisfactory work shall be reinstalled or replaced by the contractor with no additional cost to care center. 6. A one (1) year materials and workmanship warranty shall be included in the bid price. 7. All work shall be scheduled in advance with the care center Buildings and Grounds Director, Randal Beckner. Specific Requirements: 1. Inspection, cleaning, and prep of designated parking areas and roadways A. All dirt and debris shall be removed from roadway and parking areas before sealing or repairs are initiated. 2. Repair of existing cracks and existing asphalt pavement as determined by the inspection A. All cracks shall be cleaned thoroughly of dirt and debris. B. Cracks 1/4 inch and larger shall be filled with a commercial grade, hot pour crack sealant. 3. Re-sealing of designated parking areas and roadways A. Sealer shall be commercial grade and applied to the designated areas pictured below only. 4. Re-striping of pavement markings to match existing paint A. Paint shall be commercial grade, high traffic, acrylic latex-based paint.
