Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Stephens City, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.
As of December 27, 2024, per owner, an engineer has been identified to create a site plan. Seeking an engineering and design firm to create a site plan for new recreation amenities and parking at Sherando Park. Frederick County Parks and Recreation is seeking an engineering and design firm to create a site plan for new recreation amenities and parking at Sherando Park. The amenities include the completion of the Sherando park softball complex, continuation of access road to a new parking area on the north side of Rt 277, and to add one additional soccer field on the south side of Rt 277. Below are images of the current conditions and the master plan vision for the area. The final deliverable includes documents to meet planning requirements and serve as construction/bid documents and cost estimates for budgeting purposes. Field dimensions, fencing, and layout are to match existing facilities. Required survey needs should be included in the proposal, softball lighting estimate and photometric plan will be provided by others, no lights are proposed for the additional soccer field Direct questions to Jon Turkel: jturkel@fcva.us The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
