The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: renovation of a road / highway. As of August 16, 2024, a general contractor has not yet been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. This project includes approximately 1,400 linear feet of widening, light rail and storm closure improvements to 7th Street, and the scope of work generally includes wet and dry utilities, roadway widening, landscape/streetscape, traffic signals, demolition of the existing closure gate at 7th Street and North B Street, construction of a new stop-log closure gate system south of Railyards Boulevard with associated storage structure, the embedment of the existing north-south Sacramento Regional Transit Light-Rail Track, and a new mini-high light-rail station with associated utilities and equipment. Improvements to the southerly half of North B Street include approximately 400 linear feet of widening improvements west of 7th Street and approximately 400 linear feet of tapered roadway east of 7th Street to join the existing edge of pavement at future 8th Street. A site inspection time will be provided by the Owner following distribution of the bid package. The Contractor shall review the site conditions and anticipate reasonable requirements that would typically be placed on the Contractor when working on or adjacent to private property, such as cleanliness, public safety, railroad safety, public convenience, access protection of existing improvements, maintaining existing services.
