The demolition, removal and salvage or disposal of the structures on the parcel located at 2800 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505, formerly known as the Bel Aire Hotel. The Authority is seeking Lump Sum bids for each of the bid alternatives and options presented in this Invitation to Bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified or cashier's check or bid bond with corporate surety payable to the Authority in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid price. Bids may be held by the Authority for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities or minor deviations in the bidding. Question Deadline 08/29/2024 Any request by a Bidder regarding the interpretation or clarification of the Invitation to Bid Documents or any part thereofshall be made in writing to the Authority. Any written inquiry for interpretation or clarification received seven (7) or more days prior to the date fixed for opening of Bids will be given consideration. The Authority will respond to any interpretation or clarification request in the form of a written Addendum to the Invitation to Bid Documents, and when issued, will be on file with the Authority at least three (3) days before Bids are opened.
