Reference Number 0000276575 Consulting Engineering Services (the Services) are required for Ontario Northland Transportation Commissions (ONTCs) Temagami, Ramore, Kirkland Lake, Kapuskasing, Devonshire, Island Falls, and Pagwa subdivisions, and may also be required from time to time at any location within the active or proposed ONTC Rail Network. The term associated with the Services is three (3) years with the option to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. This will be a non-exclusive engagement, and ONTC is not guaranteeing any minimum level of work. ONTC may engage other engineering consultants to perform all or part of the Services at its sole discretion. There will be a base upset limit of $2,000,000.00 CDN plus applicable taxes, for the first year of the contract. The base upset limit shall be increased in the second and third year of the contract, and if applicable, in each additional one-year period thereafter, by an amount equal to the percentage change listed by Statistics Canada for the immediately preceding year in Table 1 of the Consumer Price Index, major components and special aggregates, Canada - Not seasonally adjusted (All-items). The Services have been broken down into two project types that are outlined as follows: Project 'A': The provision of Services to ensure compliance with all prescribed safety standards by performing inspections and rating of structures (mainly bridges), inspections and audits of tracks and signal systems and detailed safety assessments on crossings on ONTC's seven (7) Subdivisions. Project 'B': The provision of Services as required by ONTC for various projects or initiatives that may arise from time to time.
