Site work for a water / sewer project in Kinston, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Replace 3 sewer manholes and replace 779' of 24" gravity sewer located along the Neuse River from Wake Ave to Walston Ave. The work performed will replace damaged/deteriorated RCP sewer pipe to repair multiple cave ins. Contractors are hereby notified that they must have the proper license under the State Laws governing their respective trades. Contractors must be licensed and general contractors must have license classification for Building Contractor. All bids will require a performance bond and a payment bond at time of contract execution (not required as part of the bid package). This project will require a bid bond as it is estimated to cost more than $200,000 and therefore will be formally bid. It is the responsibility of the bidders to insure that his/her bid is received before the hour given above. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days of the date of bid opening. The right is reserved by the City to accept or reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
