Marlboro County Government is issuing this RFP soliciting proposals from qualified firms to complete the removal old windows and installation of new vinyl clad double hung window units with six over six, slope sill, low-E Argon made to fit existing openings. The windows replace old wooden frames and sashes in the three-story Administration building. Location: 205 East Market Street, Bennettsville SC, 29512 Deadline for receipt of written questions and requests for addenda - August 30, 2024 Marlboro County Government responds to questions and/or addenda issued - September 4, 2024 SCOPE OF WORK A. Remove old window units including sashes, jams and moldings. B. Contractor will dispose of all wood and glass. C. Contractor will frame back openings to fit new windows. D. Contractor will take their own measurements for sizing of new window units. E. Contractor will supply new window units. F. New window units will be vinyl clad with brick mold-slope sill-vinyl sashes, double hung, 6 over 6, no screens, glass low-E Argon, made to fit openings from outside. G. Contractor will caulk exterior around windows. H. Contractor will give an alternate price to install moldings on interior of windows. I. All permits must be obtained by contractor. (Project is within City limits.) J. Contractor to provide all insurance requirements prior to contract award required by owner. K. The awarded proposer will provide all materials and labor according to the scope of work above. L. Sales tax on materials to be included in total bid cost. M.
