The project consists of removing and replacing the existing 780,000 btu/hr hot water boiler at the Eagle Academy. Work includes providing a concrete pad, modifying the boiler piping, closing off an existing makeup air opening, and providing new electrical and control feeds to the boiler. Also, as part of this project the building automation system for the entire Eagle Academy shall be replaced. Prevailing wages in accordance with Champaign County is required. Bid security is required, in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid as guarantee that the bid will not be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of opening of bids, and that the successful bidder will enter into a Contract for the work awarded to them. Bid security shall be made payable to Rantoul Twp. High School Dist. #193. Bonds are required: Both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Payment Bond are required for this project, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the owner. Award of a contract is anticipated to occur at the September, 2024 meeting of the Board of Education. Begin construction on September 16, 2024. The Work shall be Substantially Complete on or before Friday November 1, 2024.
