Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in New Albany, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The City of New Albany may choose to not award the bid--and bidders shall hold bids open--until sixty days after the bid opening. The work for which bids are invited consists of: Parts 1 & 3 of the plans for the Roadway Improvements including approx. 2900' of road, brick/concrete ret. walls, asphalt paths, brick sidewalks, granite pavers, storm sewer, earthwork, traffic control, landscaping, signals, lighting, and curb ramps. The cost estimate for the Project is for Parts 1 & 3: $7,440,000 (base bid), $535,000(Alt. 1), $0(Alt. 2), $1,150,000(Alt. 3), & $520,000(Alt4 ) Part 2 of the Market Street Extension project is being privately bid and will be awarded by separate contract by The New Albany Company. The estimated cost is $5,460,000. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner requires that this project be completed by November 15, 2026 for substantial completion with interim completion dates. Payment of Prevailing Wages is required for this Project. The City of New Albany reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process and to enter into a contract with the bidder whom, in its opinion, offers the lowest and best bid. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Engineer's Estimate: $7,440,000 (Base Bid) $535,000 (Alt. 1) $0 (Alt. 2) $1,150,000 (Alt. 3) $520,000 (Alt 4) Allows zero unit prices and labor: Yes Allows negative unit prices and labor: Yes Part 2 will be reviewed and awarded to the lowest and best bidder independent of Parts 1 & 3. Please note that the construction of Part 2 will be concurrent with the city's project as per this Invitation for Bids.
