St. Joseph County is submitting a Notice of Intent to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management of our intent to comply with the requirements of Construction Stormwater General Permit to discharge stormwater from construction activities associated with the SJC SR 2 Lift Station, Forcemain, Gravity Sewer and Water Main project located along SR 2 and Larrison Drive in New Carlisle in St. Joseph County, Indiana 46552. Run-off from the project site will discharge into roadside ditches within the Niespodziany Ditch and Geyer Ditch watersheds. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. The project includes the installation of the following: 5.0 MGD sanitary lift station, approximately 5,200 feet of new 16-inch ductile iron force main, 10,500 feet of new 16- inch ductile iron water main, 2,350 feet of new 24-inch gravity sanitary sewer, and 1,800 feet of new 30-inch gravity sanitary sewer at locations indicated on the drawings. Lift station site improvements and associated restoration are also included in the project.
