The City is requesting qualified vendors to submit quotations for the Supply and Delivery of Liquid Polymer to the Wastewater Treatment Facility (WwTF). The City owns and operates a single Wastewater Treatment Facility located on the City's waterfront at 249 Bradford Street, Barrie, ON L4N 3B7. The WwTF uses liquid cationic polymer to thicken the facility's Waste Activated Sludge (WAS). Question Deadline: Tue Sep 3, 2024 2:00:00 PM (EDT)
Duration in months: 60 A mandatory site visit has been scheduled to allow bidders the opportunity to view the liquid polymer delivery system and obtain a sample of the Waste Activated Sludge and a dilution water sample, for bench testing at their own facility. * Failure to sign in prior to the start of the site visit and be present when the purchasing representative determines that the sign-in process has closed will result in the disqualification of the Bidders submission. Additional site visits will not be permitted. Bidders will meet City representatives in the visitor parking area located directly to the left of the south public entrance off Bradford Street (all other entrance ways are gated access). Bidders will be required to sign in at the administration area before attending the Meeting. Late Bidders will not be provided with extra time to view the Site. Bidders will have a maximum of two (2) hours to view the Site. Bidders must provide and wear their own personal protective equipment ("PPE") at all times while attending the Meeting. The required PPE includes: - CSA safety footwear iii. Bidders must provide their own sample containers. The City will not supply sample containers. Sample size will be limited to the amount a respondent can obtain and carry unaided by any City staff or mechanical means within a 15-minute period. Sampling of the available dilution water will also be available upon request adhering to the same guidelines for amount and time as stated previously for the WAS sample.
