Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a transportation facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a transportation facility; for the demolition of a transportation facility; for the renovation of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.
The Loading Dock Expansion Project at Charlotte Douglas International Airport modifies the existing loading dock facility to provide three additional truck bays (total of five), two service elevators, and reconfiguration of the loading dock area for more efficient operations and future growth at the Airport. The Loading Dock Expansion Project will include a new ramp, new guard booth, enlargement of man door, new canopy, and (2) new 10'x10' freight elevators. Question Deadline 08/29/2024 at 5:00 PM ET Written requests for clarification must be submitted electronically. Minority Business Enterprise (MBE): 8% Small/Women Business Enterprise (SWBE): 10% By submitting a bid, the Contractor acknowledges and agrees that the Owner is authorized to deduct and retain out of the monies due to the Contractor and/or the Contractor is liable to the City for the sum of $500 per calendar day for each and every day or any portion thereof that the time employed upon said work or delivery may exceed the time stipulated for such performance and completion. Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of the Work within 547 calendar days from the date of commencement stated in the written Notice to Proceed. Contractor acknowledges that the time for completion of the Work is sufficient for it to perform all the Work. Contractor shall achieve Final Completion, including all required final submittals, no later than 45 calendar days from the date of Substantial Completion. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid security in the form of, at Bidder's option, cashier's check, certified check, money order or bid bond (in favor of the Owner) in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid amount pledging that the Bidder will after notice of award, enter into a Contract with the Owner on the terms stated in its Bid and will furnish bonds as described in Contract Documents, covering the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder. Payment Bond. The approved form of security furnished by the Contractor and its surety as a guaranty that it will pay in full all bills and accounts for materials and labor used in the construction of the Work. Performance Bond. The approved form of security furnished by the Contractor and his surety as a guarantee that the Contractor will complete the Work in accordance with the terms of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and or all Bids.
